The boredom after the afternoon set had been unpredictable. The crowd was amazing, as per usual, and after the signing, Frank and Scarlett had dissapeared. Rayne had tried to find one of them, but had failed. So there she was, 5 o'clock on a Tuesday afternoon, the swealtering summer heat mind-blocking and the humidity intense. Rayne had half a mind to go outside, and mingle with fans, but that would encourage a stampeade, seeing as how the band had gotten rather popular within the past few months that they had been touring.
Rayne sighed and grimaced sliding her phone back into the pocket of her shorts. "Ey Rayne!", a voice called from the front of the bus. Rayne made her way to the front where she was met with one of the tech's, Alex who worked on sound. "Bored?", he asked grabbing a water bottle from their fridge. "More than anything.", Rayne said sighing and plopping herself down on the couch nearby. "Y'know theres a movie theater right down the road. You could grab a buddy and go.", Alex suggested dousing the waterbottle.
"D'you want to go with me?", Rayne asked desperately her eyes pleading. "I have sound duty and then I have to pack up. Sorry kid. I'm a tech, unlike you, who plays once and is off for the day.", Alex said with a mischevious grin. "Nuh-huh!", Rayne protested, "Unlike you tech's we actually have to do the performing! And its not once a day! At least not for Heck No! Techno. We have a morning set, and an afternoon set!", she finished smirking. "And I suppose I'll deal with going to the movies alone. Thanks anyways Alex.", Rayne said not giving him a chance to reply and making sure she had an amount of money in her pocket before heading out of the bus door. "Be sure to close the door before you leave!", Rayne shouted back into the bus and walking out of the venue.
Rayne made sure to put on large sunglasses before she got to the largely populated movie theater. Rayne had walked into the main lobby and was making her way over to the line for tickets when she ran into something tall and hard, forcing her sunglasses to clatter to the floor.
"Rayne Bridge?", a voice asked forcing a deep feeling of guilt, shame and not wanting to be there to arouse in her stomach. Busted.
