"They're one of my top favorites but Simple Plan would have to be my number one." he said with a small laugh. He sipped his coke. "What is your favorite song by the rejects?"
His was Dirty Little Secret, it kind of explained a few things he had done when he was younger. He didn't tell many people that, he probably would tell her though.

"Stab My Back. I really don't know why, it just, is," she said. Which was probably far away from the truth. It kind of explained her father, and she just loved the way the song went. "Yours?" she asked, quite intrigued they were in the same type of music.

"Mine would have to be 'Dirty Little Secret' but 'Stab My Back' is pretty good too. Dirty Little Secret just explained a bit about my life, in a weird way." he said taking a sip of his coke. It was getting down to the last few drops. He sat the cup down.
A few moments later, he felt a short vibration in his pocket. A new text message. He slid his phone at it and looked at the screen. It had his brother's name on it. He clicked the message. Call Me Soon....Denny. was all it said. It must be important, he thought. He'd call him in a moment.

"Dirty Little Secret is okay, though, I think it's over played," she said, taking another bite out of her burger. She looked down at her skirt, and noticed a dot on it. Must've been the grease from the burger, she thought. She rubbed her plaid skirt with her thumb, trying to get out the stain, only making it worse. So, she just decided to leave it.

Drew smiled, "It may be, but it's still what makes them the rejects." he said with a laugh. He finished the last of his drink and shot it into the trashcan nearby. His brother's message was picking at the back of his mind.
"I'll be right back." he said standing up, and stretching his legs a bit. He walked a little ways from the table and called his brother. After a few rings Denny picked up. "Hey Den, whats the matter man?" he said with a hint of concern. He listened for a second. "I need to talk to you in person soon." he said with a sigh. His brother wasn't one to express feelings all the time. Drew thought for a moment. "I'm kind of busy right this second. But I'll call you later and I'll meet you somewhere." He listened to his brother's breathing for a moment. "Sounds good bro." He said with a hint of relief. "I'll call you later." Drew said as he hung up the phone and stuffed it into his pocket. He walked back to the table and sat down. "Sorry about that." he said with a smile.

"It's okay," she said, looking up. "It wasn't anything bad was it?" she asked. She hated it when something happened and she was talking to someone. She didn't want to ditch the person, but she didn't want to leave the matters alone.

Drew looked at her and then down for a second. "I don't really know. You never know with my brother." he said with a small smile. "I told him I'd call him later, he's always getting himself into trouble." He thought about it for a second, "Nothing to worry about at the moment. So where were we?" he said with a laugh.

"We were talking about the rejects," she said with a laugh. At least there was nothing wrong, right? She took a sip of her coke, which was mostly water from the ice melting. She hated it when it tasted like that, but didn't give it up. She needed to drink something, even if it was watered down coke.

Drew looked at her for a moment, he knew her coke had to be watered down by now? "Want a new drink before we get back to debating rejects?" he said with a smile. He needed a new coke too, he might as well buy her a new one to if she wanted it.
While he waited for her to decide he thought about his brother. He wondered what he had done now, according to him he should be the older brother instead of Denny, he was always helping Denny out of a jam.

"Sure," she said smiling. Drew was a real sweetie, even though he was a rocker. He was really nice, and fun to hang out with. She was happy that she met him.

He grabbed her cup and tossed it into the bin as he passed on his way to the stand. "Two cokes." he said with a smile. He paid the guy and walked back to the table. He set the new coke in front of Violet.
"Now as I was saying..." he said with a laugh. "Dirty Little Secret may be overplayed but it's one of the things that makes them the rejects," he said with a smile. He had a good point there and he knew it.

"Hm, I guess you're right. Though, I'd choose It Ends Tonight over Dirty Little Secret anyday!" she said smiling and laughing. She felt her phone vibrate, but decided to leave it. She was having too much fun to be interupted.

Drew thought about it for a second. He had to agree with that. "Dirty Little Secret is a reject classic, and I agree It Ends Tonight kicks ass." he said with a laugh. He was glad he had come here today, he was also glad she had sat with him and that he had had courage to talk to her. He was having lots of fun.
He looked at her, she was pretty cool...for a rocker chick.

"Their older albums kick ass too. Like One More Sad Song, that's pretty good," she said, smiling. She loved the rejects. They were her alltime favorite band, and she just loved the way she sounded. And Tyson Ritter was basically her idol.

"I'd have to agree on that." he said with a smile. The reject debate was beginning to become a one sided battle. "Now, I think you won that debate." he said with a laugh. "What do you think of Simple Plan?" he said with a small smile. He wasn't sure how many people still listened to them, he hoped she did.
He wondered what was up with his brother, and why he needed to talk to him. He pushed the thought from his mind and focused on the discussion at hand.
